Weight verses power on anything below a 1.50 I wouldn't do it. Actually you can't run gasoline thru a glow carburator very well. Go to www.ch-ignitions.com and read through the FAQ's they will explain a lot.
I have used CH ignition on a ST 2500 to improve reliability, but it still used methanol fuel.

Spark ignition is intended for gas, though it can be used on glow fuel. The advantage of gas is increased fuel economy but with a significant loss of power. The advantagi of spark ignition VS glow used with glow fuel is easier starting and easily adjustabel timing to obtain the maximum possible performance without constant changing of plugs. You could also mix gas and alcohol to get a compromise of power VS economy. With methanol prices at about $2.75 a 50/50 mix of gas and metthonol would not be that much more per gallon and the fuel flow rate would be reasonable as well.
