presue nipple on botton of engine
Hi, I new to using four stroke engines and have an older os fs70 engine 4 stroke.... i obviously understand the purpose of the pressure nipple on the muffler but what is the nipple on the bottom of the engine for? it's on the bottom by output shaft. What's it for and do I need to plug it if I don't use it?

That is a vent line fitting. Attach a piece of fuel line to it and run it to the outside of the plane. DO NOT PLUG IT.
Good Luck

RE: presue nipple on botton of engine
2-stroke engines take in the fuel/oil mixture through the crankcase thus providing lube oil to the crankshaft. 4-stroke engine induction is from the top of the cylinder. In order to get oil to the crankshaft oil blows past the piston and is voided through the nipple at the bottom of the crankcase.
