Default MVVS .49 fuel type?

Looks like I'll be having a hard time keeping myself stocked with 5% sport fuel for MVVS engines. So I thought I would ask what other MVVS .49 users are running?
Thanks

Buy 5% by the case from Lester...he carrys it, it's cheap and stores well. If this is an issue, let me know and I'll get you some shims so that you can run 10%. They run so sweet on 5% though, you really should try to get your hands on some.

I'm trying Dave,
Lester is sooooo far away from me and my LHS wants me to pay extra for fees etc etc
I figured I'd try and find out what others are using?
I'm real close to flashing them up

Before I bought my MVVS .49 I read here that everyone was using FAI or 5% fuel. I ran my engine on a test stand using OS#8 plug & FAI fuel first, engine ran as if it were cold - taking a while to spool up. Ran it with the same plug & 5% fuel next, ran better but still acting cold. Tried some Wildcat 10% extra with the OS#8 plug & now she runs SWEET. Bought this engine from Morris Hobbies, don't know if they add the shim to engines sold in the states. Have'nt checked mine for the shim but this one runs best on 10% fuel.

I think they doo add a shim to thier engines, or they order them from the factory that way. My stock comes in without extra shims and the engines I have do not run well at all on anything over 5% nitro.

This is good, thanks guys. 5% use to plentiful in my area but for some reason know one runs it anymore. The LHS has washed many into thinking higher Nitro is better and he is only carrying synthetic Grrrrrrrr
