RE: Laser 4-stroke engines
When I had it on the original UltraStick 120 I made a diamond shaped mount to move it forward so the carbs would clear the front top of the fuse, what a pain to adjust the low speed needles. Fortunately it needs very little tuning once set up. Even though I moved it forward 5/8 inch I still had to notch the fuse for the rear most muffler. I like the idea of the Irvines, now I'll get a case of projectitis.

RE: Laser 4-stroke engines
Hans, a friend of mine has a 180 single and the 360 twin,both run great.I have flown the 360 in a Byron p47 1/4 scale I think. turning a 20 x 8 prop at about 7800 rpm if I remember correctly.

I recently bought a Laser 100 and it ran perfectly out of the box (even with the wrong fuel 10% nitro 20% castor).
They recommend 15% synth oil with 5% nitro.
A video of the engine on the first day running it (flight test starts at 4:20).

Thanks for the heads up Dave . I had been holding my breath since I lost the post office receipt! You have a 5 year warranty starting now.
So , you still have a Laser engine?

I just gave a brand new .53 to my son
That 2.40 Enya Vee is a real work of art. Good design, and like all Enya, the best choices of material and first class machining. Fine castings, not computer whittled from bricks

Jonathan posted this on the British RCM&E website yesterday. It looks like some of the single cylinder engines are available again.
"you are a week late STF. A batch of 5 80's have been and gone, replaced by the 4 you see now and with another batch already started. The 4 180's i had a week ago have gone but more are on the way. So, if you need an engine now they are there. if you dont need one and are only buying it for 'stock' then shoo! go 'way!!
I am building engines, they will be available, there is no need to panic buy. "

Yes, I think dmrc finally decided to dump his, saw it for sale in RCGroups classifieds the other day. I have a 70 that I would be very happy to see go away too!

Topflight 182 81 inch ARF
I was thinking of putting a laser on the Cessna 182, I have a gas engine to fit it but love the sound of the laser engines, any recommendations on the size for that plane , we tend to go bigger here because we fly at just a little over 6800 feet, thanks

This is the latest engine availability notice from the company which should answer some of your questions.
70′s and 180′s are back in stock with new batches being prepared.
The 120 is back in production and a batch is under way.
155′s are out of production pending backplate manufacture but should be back in early April.
80′s and 100′s are being prepared in readiness for assembly once conrod manufacture is completed.
Can't see why you would like to get rid of your 70 Jesse, I've just been running in my own engine in the back garden.
Product Description
IMPORTANT NOTICE.Following our factory move Laser Engines are currently restructuring how we produce engine parts in order to speed up production. This is an ongoing process and may take some time to complete. All of our V twin engines are out of production and are not available for sale at this time. Once single cylinder stocks are under control attention will shift to the twins. We are working to maintain stocks of single cylinder engines.70′s and 180′s are back in stock with new batches being prepared.
