Default RE: MOKI ENGINES

Hi folks,

I want to let you guys with MOKIs in on this. I recently crashed a model (wing spar failure - I only paid $50.00 for it at a swap shop)  that was powered by my MOKI 1.80. Naturally, it broke off the Needle Valve Spray Bar and the needle and related parts were lost . I searched every where I could online for a Moki Dealer with no luck. The dealer in CA which shows up in some searches NO LONGER can get parts for the MOKIs.

I went into the MOKI site and finally located the email link to the factory. It is [email protected]  I contacted them requesting a source for my needle valve assemblies, and got a very quick response from Mr. Dezso Orsovai. He had emailed me the parts page for the MOKI 1.80 and said to list what I needed and he would send them  to me.. I did and received the price and thier PayPal account number. I shot off the payment for two sets of needle valves (I also have the 2.10). The next day I received word that they were on the way via
AirMail,  My parts arrived today.

I hope this is helpful to you guys with MOKIs. I really like mine and think they are one of the best glow engines and the most powerful for it's size out there.

Have a Happy New Year!

Dash

Am I the only person that has crashed an airplane with a Moki engine in it? I have been trying to gets parts to repair the engine since March 7, 2015. My advice to anyone thinking about
purchasing a Moki engine is to do your research to find out about parts availability and repair facilities, The only two facilities that I have found are having no luck getting parts or prices from
Moki. Their Customer service is non-existent. I must say that the dealers that I have contacted have done everything possible to get a response from Moki to no avail.

If anyone knows where I can get parts for a Moki 150 (cylinders, pushrods rocker arms, etc.) please contact me at: [email protected] .

I think you are talking about a different engine that was made in Britain.

Production of the original Hungarian 2-stroke Moki (and latterly Mark) engines ceased in 2011.

You can read the history of the Moki model engines here:

Hi,
You should probably start a tread announcing you are in production and what you are producing.

I picked up a used Moki 1.80 a while back they guy that had it didn't want to clean it so he could sell it so I yook it. It has nice compression and came with a pits muffler. The muffler has one outlet capped to increase pressure. I guess he wasn't getting enough pressure to pressurize the tank. Can anyone here tell me what the heaviest scale plane this engine can handle effectively?

Thanks!

Not a radial engine website, not even the same company. They only share the same name.'Moki'. I've done a search and only come up with another dealer for Moki radial engines is in Germany.

MOKI radial engines - THE radial engines from AIRWORLD

Anything in the U.S. ?

This thread is for the original Moki engine. Apologize I thought you were asking about them.

you should start a new thread since you are asking about a different line of engines than this original old thread was written for.
