TT Pro 46
I ran my TT Pro 46 for the first time today. I was impressed! I primed the engine, lit the plug, flipped it one time and it was running. The carb was set almost perfectly. It only needed about 1/8 turn on the low end needle. After only one tank it will idle reliably and transition is instant and clean. Throttle is linear throughout the entire range. This is the first TT engine I have owned, but it will not be the last if it continues to perform in this exceptional manner. It is a great deal for $69.99.
I just thought I would share my experience with this engine.

Great engine. What's it mounted in? I've owned 2 of them with probably 11 years of combined use. I was almost run off the field the day I showed up with a non-OS motor.

TT .46
Helpful tips for this engine:
10-15% nitro (Omega or Wilcat are good fuels)
Run 300 rpm shy of max lean rpm at high end (do pinch test)
OS 3 or OS 8 glow plug
Fly fly fly fly. I have one that has hundreds of flights and at least 6 crashes and even though it looks very rough it still hums as as good as when it was new.
If you have a properly centered fuel tank, try taking off the cone inside the exhaust which will give you at least an extra 200 rpm.

muffler
I have a TT .46 and it has been flawless. But, I had an unfortunate mid air with an unnamed 15 lb bird. it flew off a little shaken and my plane went in from a couple hundred feet up. The only thing hurt was the muffler. What is the best muffler to buy for this motor? I have a Goldberg ex-treme 330 to put it in.

I have two OS .46 FX and one TT .46 pro. I think I like the TT better when you consider the price. I actualy have been able to tune it more easily than the OS and I think it products is little more power. For the price, you surely can't beat this engine.

Lane, get the Tower Muffler. It's a mini tuned pipe.
Stock # LXJB16
$12.99
Word is that you need to put double nuts on the long bolt (perhaps use threaded rod?) with loctite to keep it together. But it's a good cheap performance booster.
Did I say it's cheap? yea...
