Saito 90t What plane for this motor?
I have a saito 90t which runs great. Got it in a trade with a plane, but motor isn't large enough for that plane. I'm tring to find something other then a Piper Cub for this motor. It runs and sounds great but power to weight it's not the best. Perfect match for a Cub, but I'm not turned on by Cubs. Wishing I could find a Biplane or somthing with some style to put it in where the power to weight would match up.
Any Ideas?
If I don't find something soon to match it up with I will just have to trade it away...

Bull:
I waw going to say the Sig 1/6 cub, but you shot that down. Be a shame to get rid of such a nice little engine.
If you are willing to do some bashing, one of the "Pattern" type 40-46 planes should be a screamer with it. Pattern type because of the usual long nose which you will have to shorten for the heavier engine, and still have room for a big fuel tank. Maybe even a 60 size, with lessened performance.

Another possibility is the Mooney Mite. This one would allow you to show off both cylinders, like the J-3 and J-4 cubs the engine cylinders hang out in the breeze. The basic design makes me want to get an OS flat four cylinder engine just for one.
Problem: You'll have to scratch build. I know of no kit or even plans for a model of this plane.

It's not that I really dislike the Cub it's just that there must be a dozen in our club. Really want something different. Only problem is finding something that balances well with the weight of the motor. don't want to have to add tons of weight to tail of plane...
I do like the looks of the mooney... Never seen one before.

I've been flying mine for about fifteen years on a GP Supersportster 60. Really great for just all-around sport-flying. [8D].......RJ

How about the Corby Starlet ARF (see Chief Aircraft)? It requires a 70 - 90 four stroke and this one would fit inside the cowl - no butchering required.

World Models Zero would be perfect, if you are not looking to showcase the twin. That plane needs a lot of nose weight when installing an engine in the suggested range. So the extra weight will be perfect. Also, it should be completely enclosed in the cowl, not possible with a single cylinder 4-stroke that the plane calls for. Also twin sound will be more realistic on this plane that has a rotary engine.
Spacewalker or Ryan STA both would be great choice for a low wing, as they both have narrow enough head to showcase the twin.

Sparky, electric irons work quite well and you need only one
I think the topflite Focke-Wulf 190 would be a cool plane for this engine, I have an asp 160 twin, the sound is awesome.
