HELP ASP Engine Parts
Help needed in locating either a retailer for ASP carby spares or the thread size of the carby barrel retainer screw on an ASP .75 as I have lost mine
This is the screw in the top of the carby that goes into the cam slot on the internal barrel not the end stop screw.
Any help from retailers manufacturer's or knowledgeable persons is gratefully appreciated.

Just engines UK you will have the parts in 5 or 6 days and Paul can answer your questions martin
WHOOPS see you are down under might take an other week-- One of the guys here has gotten stuff from Modelflight down there and it only a week to US air mail, so maybe an other week added on should do it
They still think you folks and the the US are still the " Colonies" but thats the Brits
On a more serious note it appears the Aussies and Brits are the only true Allies we have in Iraq and we are grateful here for it

SC engines are the same as the ASP if you can find SC around there anywhere. Seems as though Perkins has a lot to do with distributing Perkins?
Also you can get some ASP parts from Horizon Hobby in the states.

Magnum engines are also the same. They are distributed by www.hobbypeople.net in the USA
The carb has been changed from these companies. The carb no longer has the rubber boot on the throttle arm side and the
46825 Magnum Carburetor Rotor Bolt is now short and screws completely tight into the carb body. There's no longer any adjusting nut around its base. The part seems to fit OK.

Flyboy yes i thought of that and tried a bolt of similar size thread but it would only go in about half way into the threaded section.
I would need the correct size thread ...... Anyone?????

See if you can get a tap for the "known quantity" thread, and re-tap it.
The screw I show in the pic is out of a Magnum .46 carb, this first pic.
The second pic is a biger magnum carb. Is it like the second pic ? All the
Magnum carbs are the same from the .61, all the way up through the 1.20.
The ASP carb are similar.

It's more like the second picture.
I believe that it was a bolt and nut arrangement and the idle stop screw is the one on the left with a simple screw/spring setup.
Horizon hobbies list the parts( ASP65/80 Rotor Stopscrew/Nut )
but have not yet replied as to shipping outside the US
And just engines want a min order of 10gbp.....hmmm 10 pounds = A$30 compared to A$3+ post from horizon

Guys thanks for all your input it has been most helpful
I regret to say that impatience got the the better of me and i cracked the ****s and went out to the drill press with a hex socket bolt and file in hand
End result after 3-4 goes on the 1 bolt I turned the end down and shortened it to size and length.
With a small o-ring between the case and head and some locktite and brute force(to cut the thread with the bolt) I have managed to resolve the problem........
(till it all goes south next time)

T6texan, I have used Justengines in the UK, great service and the parts have arrived at my door in Sydney within 5 days. I was inpressed to day the least.

AndyMcC thats all well and good but to spend $30 + for a $3 item and thats a minimum purchase, I couldn't justify the cost

I also have a Magnum 46XL "B" type carburator which is missing the stop screw assembly. There seems to be several possible replacements from a simple screw and spring to a screwnut and finally a threaded insert/screw. Wonder if they all fit the "B" carb? I tried every spare bolt in my inventory and can't match the thread size. Does anyone out there have a similar engine and gauge to check the thread size?
Also looking for a needle for an "old" Super Tigre 71, or the thread size...

Flyboy Dave is correct about the high speed needle. They are still available and used on the Supertigre 51 C/L engine today. The low speed needle is almost impossible to find.

Great, thanks guys. The needle is the plain taper type with the bent end. I see it in the G51 parts list at the SuperTigre site and that should make it easy to track one down.

On the ASP 61 two stroke all the ASP 61 and 91 silencers fit along with the OS 61 and 91 pipes. I believe Magnum and SC pipes also fit.
