hey people just installed my keleo exhaust to my asp 400, mine fit fairly well once the first  3 exhaust ports were finger threaded  in... the last 2 needed a little muscle to make them aline ,once they were all in i used the wrench to tighten them in ...it looks great on , now once i get my on board glow uni,t it will be time to fire this engine up!

Nice work outlaw,

Not sure if you know about the yahoo group (I joined them a few years ago) for radial engine builders but it's a very accomplished group with a building passion and excellent info and plans. Here is the link:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/R_and_R_engines/

Also there is a free pub you can sign up for published By Mike Rehmus if you like as well:

That's a nice job, outlaw21.

Kenner? Did you mean Kinner? When it was a spark engine, what was the setup? Very interested to know if you used a distributor, electronic with sensors etc, etc...

Regards, RossG

Kmot, that sounds good and loos pretty compact. Is it home-made? Would bet that could turn a scale 4 blade prop

Judging from the cooling grooves in the valve covers it looks a lot like Lee Hodgson's design from Ageless engines. Perhaps he's planning to CNC and sell these all built or as a kit. I know the Authentic Scale guy is working with suppliers like Lee to bring their designs into the CNC / mass production era. Pretty cool for us...

Some pretty interesting and beautiful designs here:

I would say most all the engines are used for flying, only a few wind up being collector engines on display.
Here is one example:

i am installing an asp 5 c ylinder in my kmp t-28 instead of the 55dle gas engine which i was going to use
does anyone have any experience with this engine?  i put a keleo ring muffler on i t and a tronics glow driver

Have you perused this thread yet? http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6767296/tm.htm
I assume they have corrected the issue by now with the crankpins being overhardened but it may be worth checking out after you run some fuel through the engine, just in case.
Anyway tons of information about the engines in any case.

Hey!
Does any one have a good explanation why not to run the ASP 400 radial on 8% oil fuel ,when the OS sirius 7 runs on this mix?

(Neither of them draw the fuel thorugh the crank case like the Seidels)

Yes i have seen that thread on Knots tear down  the asp 400... amazing job on it!
My engine looks new and improved on the outside any ways ..... its finished quite nicely ..polished chrome and all...saves alot of work that i don.t care to do....i hope the manufacture took as great care on the inside of the engine as they did on the outside....i guess only time will tell....once it warms up a bit i will break this baby in
