Not that you have to, but I run my cranckcase vent hoses thru the fuse, all the way to the rear, and out the back by the tail wheel. Zero oil on the plane !!! And that's a good thing...

A separate support forum for Saito has been discussed, but while we have excellent support from Horizon Hobbies, they have not been willing to give such a forum official support.

But between Hobbsy (Dave), W8YE (Jim), me, and others who come in I think we still do a pretty good job with them.

A cold Saito needs a sloppy prime for the first start of the day, they will sometimes start backwards. Best to kill it as quickly as possible when it does. I've not noticed the carb adjustment to make any difference here, it's just not spun as fast as it needed to start the right way round.

At least a four inch hose on the case vent and out the bottom. You got that one right.

Seven minutes on a 12 ounce tank would be terrible for a 91 that's broken in and tweaked. When you get there that 12 ounce tank should give you 15 minutes with fuel to spare.

I have enough trouble feedin 1 at a time. Man, that glow fuel is kinda spendy... Now I know why so many fly those big honkers with gas engines. Thats cheap flyin !!! Once ya shell out the big bucks to build the monster that is... My friend Greg has about $1600.00 in a big Pitts, and that blows me away !!! I don't have that much in my pickup !!!

You'll get there. First picture is my Ultra Stick 120, Saito power, about $1200 there. Second picture, the C-3/10, was almost $2000 and it only has XL 46 Magnum engines.

Under construction is an F7F Tigercat. How about $3000 just for the radial engines?

I guess im a low budget flyer... 500 in the Stearman, 400 in the big cub, and I'll have about 400 in the cessna when it finished. And thats more than I like to admitt. Hell, I only have 2400 in my VW Trike, and 1500 in my chevy flatbed i've had for 15 years.

If we were counting the money I think my wife would divorce me. I have built a 1/4 scale Katana and put a Saito 150 in it and now working on a Modeltech P-47 and installing a Saito 120 in it. I do love the sound of the four stroke, guess that is why I have so many. Last count was 14 planes and only one 2 stroke on a plane. Should I convert my trainer or just sell it?

I read on a showtime 4d thread that saito is comming out with a 120 the size of the 100. has anyone heard anything about this or a release date

And I thought my friend greg, who has 8 or 9 planes, was excentric. hahahahaha !!! 2 or 3 planes is fine for me. I have other hobbies too. Trikes, and Ham Radio. Where do you store that many planes ??? Wow !!!

I can not use my dining table to eat, it's covered with planes. Even if I cleared them from the top I still couldn't put my feet under, there are more planes on the floor. Wings leaning up in the corners, more against the wall next to the microwave, planes on the window ledges. I even have seven planes in my front room, and wings hanging on the wall in the hall.

Don't even ask about the room that was supposed to be my shop...

That is absolutely true. BTDT with the expensive stuff.

Now I'm back to flying 1.40 CID glow and gas engines, or smaller.
Mostly smaller. The bulk of my engines are in the .45 range, plus
or minus.

Plus I'm now into small electric powered models.

I'm having more fun than I had when worrying all the while the
really expensive models were flying. Expensive isn't for everyone.
Even if they have the money.

Smaller models are easier to transport and handle. As my wife
pointed out one day when large and small models were flying at
our field, they all look the same size after they take off. <G>

That explains it then... No woman would put up with that. LOL And on the plane sizes, I love my little Super Stearman, it keeps me on my toes. That little sucker is on crank or something. It zips around like a fly... Great fun !!!
