Yes,to a certain extent, yet other factors at play remain just as critical. A small change in feed pressure with methanol goes unnoticed, yet that same change may cause the gaspoline engine to falter or quit. Because of the higher specific output of the methanol fueled engine as well as that improved tolerance for mixture variation; The methanol fueled engine is more responsive and less affected by fuel delivery leaning when the throttle is suddenly advanced.

The 62 on my Sr Kadet will do about 40 minutes. Plenty of time, runs fabulous, I don't need a fire extinguisher and my car doesn't stink
No added wires, battery capacity etc. Six to four ounces lighter when I land. Great reliability. That plane originally flew on an open rocker 30!

I can probably get 2 hours on 8 ounces if I throttle down to half or less. I fly 30 minutes and still have 3/4 tank on 8 ounces. I get bored by then so haven't really done an endurance flight.

Big thing, I dont stink up the car, and am far less likely to have an explosion/ fire. Witnessed a couple of very nasty gaspoline explosions as a teenager. Very surprised how easily it happens too. Aside from the McCulloch saws, there is not a single other piece of yard equipment at our house that uses gaspoline fuel. The saws are stored dry.

Sure; Best applied to bigger engines. the added bulk, wiring routing and weight pay a proportionally smaller dividend as engines shrink. Gets to a point where the plug connector hangs out further into the breeze than the cylinder head itself.

Yeah, gaspo smells. My 25% yak had a fuel leak, the epo foam lined belly just melted away. Totally belly replacement on that one, still working on it. It really wreaks of gaspo and redline! Maybe I'll just burn it.

Say guys, not sure what is going on, or even why. Seems I leave a post, return a few minutes later and it is gone. Not even porno pics of motorcycles with bared tires. Not even a shapely lass to offend . Not sure why.
Anyhow bad enough hitting the "Post Quick Reply" button only to go to a blanko screen, but after that, seeing it go away all together.

Say guys, not sure what is going on, or even why. Seems I leave a post, return a few minutes later and it is gone. Not even porno pics of motorcycles with bared tires. Not even a shapely lass to offend . Not sure why.

Hmm, I must be doing something wrong, none of my gas planes stink. The only time I got gas smell in my trailer was when I inadvertently dumped the fuel bottle over and dumped half of it all over the floor. I even have two in my workshop, can't smell any trace of gas. I drain and plug the tanks after flying to prevent any smells.

The 60 twin is finished, with new rings, old pistons, new left cylinder with new valves and springs, old right cylinder with old valves and new springs, new tappets, new rods. It has a snappy pop as each cylinder goes over tdc on each compression stroke. There are few extra parts, mostly used. No paint,

Hey Dave, that little jewel sure looks great! I kinda hope you keep it. I don't think the fellow who got that brand new 100 twin from me realizes or appreciated what a deal he got for a hundred bucks!
Nothing wrong. A lot like tobacco addicts who can't smell cigarettes.
We have plenty of club members who say (think) the same way. Their planes stink too, I can smell it from a distance. The Grinch knows; All gassers stink, stank, stunk . Their cars smell like landscapers trailers.
Gasoline has no place in my dwellings.

I was replacing the cracked pump on the 7.7 HP Craftsman (Briggs and Stratton built motor) power washer my son rescued from a big trash pile the other day and spilt a little gas from the tank and boy did it linger in my garage!
What people with money throw away just blows my mind. The previous owner dumped this one on the curb and probably dropped $300 on the replacement.The engine starts on the first pull and the replacement pump was only $82. The new pump matches the manufacturer's tag on the old pump too. It was a bit chilly in 50 degree weather but I tested it and it works like a new one. Unlike the previous owner on the old pump I disconnected the hose and drained the water from the pump and the hose.

Would you believe how many people toss out good TV's because the screen went out, when the majority of them are simple fixes? We have a 65" Samsung Plasma 3D that the screen would go out, but still have audio, and wouldn't respond to the power buttons, so only way to turn it off is by unplugging it. It cost me nothing but time to fix. I pulled the back off, and found every screw was loose. The screws are crucial to grounding the boards. I also pulled the power board out and found a few cracked solder joints, so went around and resoldered them all. Tv works like new. It was a $2600 TV too. Chances are the majority of LED and Plasma TV issues are either soft capacitors, or loose screws and weak solder connections.

Here is a little ritual I go through when I attach the engine mounts to a twin, I set the engine on my big band saw table or my drill press table as shown. I exert down pressure while taking up the last half thread or so of the bolts. Snug them while maintaining the pressure, then torque them to 20 inch pounds all around. They are even with no rocking after that.
