Hey did you guys see the latest standard feature on all Chevy Pickups? Heated tailgates, so your hands dont get cold while pushing it.

Now if they would just pad the inside of the tailgate so you could sit comfortably while watching for the tow truck!

Being employed in the auto industry, I love to hear all these statements. I had a few (mis)adventures in my past.

What is Mitsubishi in English? ....Much Too S____y

GM - Gross Mismanagement

etc....

I owned the old aircooled VWs back then, 72 Super Beetle that had been in 4 accidents and one engine fire, 2 VW Karmann Ghias (lovely but unsafe structure), and a 1970 Microbus. I bought the Microbus without an engine and put in a used engine. I spent more time under the bus than driving it. I got so good at it that I could remove the engine in less than 1/2 an hour and re-install it and run it in less than 1/2 an hour.

I had a 1971 Volvo with twin SU carbs. One of the carbs would fall apart every 6 weeks. I got in the habit of fixing that carb every 4-5 weeks in anticipation. You could set your clock on the time it will fall apart next time.

1988 VW Jetta with the first year with the digital fuel injection. It would leak fuel badly when the temperature dropped below 20 deg. F.

I have a neighbor that buys cars fixes them up and flips them. He made a big mistake he bought a Mitsubishi sports car a some months back. I told him NEVER, NEVER, buy a Mitsubishi, he thought I was kidding. It took him 3 to 4 times as long to get it to run right. Then he screwed up and traded it to a friend for his Toyota. The Toyota took 3 weeks to fix and flip because he replaced a quarter panel and it ws still less than half the time the Mitsubishi took. His friend kept the Mitsubishi about a month and a half after the 3rd repair (Repair 2 was a torn out new clutch my neighbor put in) my neighbor bought it back to make his friend feel better. Now he has dumped more money in the Mitsubishi and he can't find a buyer. NOW he believes me!

You know...all these car problems will go away when we all have autonomous self-driving vehicles. We could let the cars drive themselves while we work on our Saitos.

I'll buy that; especially for the 128 Spyder I bought for my XYL.

I don't think so! The complexity will be exponentially increased as will the unintended side affects when something go wrong! Remember back when Mercedes was considered one of the finest built most reliable cars on the road? Then they started computerizing the systems on the cars and Mercedes became more complex with more CPUs used in a single car than any other car company. Their reliability has dropped and never recovered to get anywhere close to their peak.

I'm waiting to see if Amazon puts their automated Drone delivery system into wide spread use. I wonder how many they will lose the first month because some Bubba with a scattergun shoots it down for flying overhead or someone of questionable shoots the down to steal the delivery like they do with FedEx, USPS, and UPS packages left on your doorstep.

Nah, he's just crazy, especially after one beer, heard that's his limit, and forget about whiskey, one shot and he is down for the count.

I'm not surprised! I knew a girl from Tasmania, she told me she never had much use for those Western Aussie boys. She said they couldn't hold their liquor and were prone to be tea totaling momma's boys. Then again what ever good came out of Tasmania?

You have sympathize with them since their beer is so inferior to ours.

I guess Great Brittian must have shipped the less desirable brewers to Australia with the convicts and that's why the have such bad beer. It gives the Canadians a sense of superiority too.

And that is the reason they serve beer in huge mugs and supersized beer cans, to make up for the lack of feel good juice in their weak beer. Maybe send them some of our Sam Adams, the kind with 20% ABV.

It would never work, it would be so strong they would mistaken it for Gin and add Tonic water.

I have a bottle of Bourbon that is so strong that just cracking the seal on it would get them slobbering drunk.
