Okc
I just had a similar conversation with my friend in Texas. And it is always better to do it right. I know it will be a pain but cut and re-glue You will feel better about it when your done.

Also I am glad to hear that everyone is ok. The last ice storm we had we were with out power for 5 days. That is a true learning experience.

I also stayed home today and got a really crooked Astro hog that I picked up at a swap meet. Straightened and installed a radio. I also went to the low-end of the engine power rating and put a Saito 72 in. By the way any suggestions on prop.

I aint bragging about 39* its too bloody hot . When i was younger I use to live for weather like this . Thats why every time I get a pimple or a mozzie bite I freak out that it could be skin cancer . At least I can escape the heat with the a/c and its a good excuse to do nuttin or chill and watch a dvd .

You are correct. I know darn well I'm going to have to cut the end loose and adjust it I won't be happy if I don't.

Pope, keep your feet out of the water this time we don't want you killing off those cute little Red Dragons you fellas have down there!

On the recent eruption of the Castor Oil vs. Synthetic debate I would point out for true scale WWI aircraft should run on a fuel with Cater Oil to be more scale like there full size brothers!

I saw somethiong flapping around close to shore yesterday that could have been a small shark or more likely a stingray . Theres quite a few down my way . I always worry about brown snakes because of the stupid mutt . I just know he would just run up to it and thinking its something to play with and get bitten . http://www.australiangeographic.com.au/topics/science-environment/2012/07/australias-10-most-dangerous-snakes
We get a alot of these on our block and he barks and wags his tail and thinks its a toy .

And this is why i like the good old state of Iowa. It gets to cold for most stuff that would eat you. The only thing we were about is someone is going to build a hog confinement close to your house or if the neighbors bull gets out of the pin.

no I called the first week in January and they said my name was on the next batch. Then I read the forum on the other site about being short parts and designing a new cowl. I guess they been too busy making it right with the first batch that they forgot about me. On the bright side, it should be complete when I do finally get one. I was kinda hoping to build it before sig this year. But it's Getting late in the build season now.

Pope i think it's time you hauled your lazy bum off the couch and get straight down to the nearest gunshop.

Ok from one to ten how do you guys rate the smell of castor and nitro on a bench run in the shed at night against that wimpy synthetic smelling "we love you long time' oil ?

Anyone else old enough to remember "Missile Mist" from ther 50's. Must have been castor, but something else added to the purple brew?

Al was based on the real life Al Swearengen wh with his twin brother owned cat house & saloon called the Gem Theater. Calamity Jane worked for him for a time as one of his first dancers and recruited girls for him. was a fixture of Deadwood until it burned down for the second time. He died under suspicious from a massive head wound less than 2 months after his twin brother was shot to death by an unknown assailant.

O.F. some of us aren't rich Perth gentry with sheds and test run our engines in the driveway out front in the sunlight. I can't say Synthetic has much of a smell, but I love the smell of caster in the morning!

At least this way you will have a kit with the bugs worked out. Would be interesting if they gave one away as a grand prize at this years fly in. Going to spiffy up my Cub, maybe I can win again with this one. I decided to put it back to it's original Cub design, so have to make new struts for it and cover up the lower wing holes. Going to need to either repair or replace the cowl too.

Bugs are a problem sometimes down here. It's common to have leading edges smeared with them. I saw a guy have his engine quit on short final. We found a big bumblebee stuck in the carb throat. We sometimes get love bugs up from Florida. I use the original Liquid Luster with carnuba. It really makes a big difference.

Bumblebees are a big no no for motorcycle riders you got any your way dave? i got hit on the inside of the leg while riding in shorts one hot day and the bumblebee stung me on the nutbag which made me stop in a hurry and whip my shorts down to remove it,very awkward on a busy road in daylight i'd rather have one stuck in the carby thanks.

ps and they turn fullface helmet visors instant yellow
