seal under head

What is the effect of not haveing the seal under the head? Will this cause an overheating problem? TTpro46--omega 10%--It was getting so hot it would shut down.

Head gasket

If it is leaking it will fry your engine in a hurry. Flaming gasses leaking through a small hole will have a blow torch effect and make a big hole in short order.
