Problem: Hard Start .26 - Need Some Help...
I have a basically brand new .26 SportWerks on a Mayhem RTR. I must have not put the piston close enough to its BDC position during heat-cycling, because today it was unusually hard to turn over past TDC (even with the glow plug out it was tough).
That being said, I pulled off the head and removed the piston sleeve. I used a little 600 grit, and polished just a touch - the engine still has plenty of compression, but at least now it doesn't have any stuck-spot.
The engine does not want to start. Again, i KNOW it has compression, and I know its getting fuel. I just threw in a new o.s. #8 - I have to recharge my plug igniter, but can you guys recomend anything before I start screwing around again - should I remove carb and inspect???
This is really killing me- she just will NOT start... I haven't tried starting with the new plug, but I checked the old plug- it wasn't fouled and looked fine- it also lit up par-usual with the glow plug igniter, when I inspected the plug after I removed it. (I stuck the new os in anyway)....
please help.
thanks

Prime it carefully and not much.Put the glow driver on,take throttle to high idling position and backflip it.Be careful not to overprimed it.
