Default Thunder Tiger Valve train

Just flew my Hanger 9 p-51 with a 91 Thunder Tiger , the engine started very well ,but soon into the first flight , it went sour. The next runs were not any better. Removed the valve cover and found the exhaust valve adjuster nut had come off! Has anyone else had this Problem? Buy the way ,This H-9 P-51 Flys Great!!!

bearcatf8,
I have no direct experience with the TT91 but I was looking to get it for my TF P51 and researched it quite a bit. I am told it is a very good engine, quite strong for its size but you must check and tighten every nut and bolt on it before you run it (I guess others have had the same issues as you had on your first run). Do a search on thunder tiger 91 4 stoke and you will find a wealth of information. Good luck.

Hey Darrell,
That nut might have worked loose sitting on your shelf all that time. I am surprised it wasn't rusty. HAHA
