Default Help Identify Mystery Engine

I recently picked up an interesting engine that I have been completely unable to identify. It has both diesel and glow heads (the glow being and odd two-piece arrangement) and is marked only with a stylized "m" on one side and a 10 on the other. There is no "Made in" information. In addition to an Internet search, I've asked an engine collector's association here in Colorado and a British correspondent. Any help identifying this engine would be appreciated, since I'd like to find a muffler for it, and there's a possibility that it's missing a seal at the front. So far as I can tell, the engine has never been run.

Many thanks,
Richard Gugeler

I just bought a new one from a dealer for $79.99 w/o muffler. A beautiful engine. No, I haven't ran it yet.

Hang on to it. The diesel heads are not made any more.
