Irvine 72 MkII ???
Hello All
I have a Irvine .72 and need to know what to use for a prop? The info sheet calls for 11x10, 11x12, 12x9, 12x11, 13x9, 14x8 or 15x6, these look a little steep in pitch to me. What brand and size prop is everyone using? This is a new engine, any hint or tips on this size Irvine?
Thanks

Irvine .72
I have an older Irvine Q72 that will turn a 14x6 about as good as most .91s, all those props except maybe for the 15x6 will work just fine. 13x6 would be ideal for break in unless they suggest other.

Irvine 72 MkII ???
this engine is the best kept secret in rc. it is a little heavy but the extra weight is often needed in scale applications anyhow. I agree with the 13/6 for break in. this engine will happily lug 14 inch props all day long, runs more like a 91 very user friendly also doesn't require much nitro.
