Default Prop for Kyosho Spit with YS63

Hi,
I have an old Kyosho Spitfire with a YS63. I'm running powermaster 15% right now and am looking for a prop that will maximize performance. I tried 11/7 APC. It was ok. I fitted a 10/10 APC on it and might fly sunday. Any suggestions?

I use a 12 x 6 on a YS 53 in a Sig SE and it will fly the monocote offo of it. You probably will get the best performance increase with the 20/20 fuel which is recommeneded for the engine. However, as far as the props are concerned you will have to try a few different one to find the performance you want with any particular engine-airframe combination

I second Chuck's comment above about using higher nitro fuel.
How does it fly with 11x7?
What kind of flying characteristics do you want to improve?
Since the plane has pretty large dia cowl you may want to increase the diameter of the prop and lower pitch for torque.
Normal prop for YS63 is 12x7 with 20% nitro running around 11K above rpm.
My YS 63 could pull 6.4 pound plane vertical take off.

I'm using a Graupner 12x7 with great results. The engine spins at 11,200 rpm on Powermaster YS 20/20 fuel.

Thanks you guys~! I really want more speed. The 11/7 was weak. On my YS53 the 11/7 is pretty good. I might get some fuel today and try again. I should weigh the plane. It feels really heavy. The previous owner had a YS 91 in it. Has anyone tried smaller higher pitched props?

Today I tried the APC 10/10 and it was a bit loaded. I then tried the 10/9 and that was really great. I chased a H9 P51 w/YS91 and just about kept up.

I'm flying a EZ Mustang with the YS-63, Master Airscrew Scimitar 12x8 and YS20/20 fuel turning 11,500. I have to pull back the throttle so that a Dago Red with Saito 91 can keep up.
Check your valve lash!
