Default OS .50 SX or OS .55AX? advice please

I'm considering getting a new engine and it has come down to (my choices) the OS 50 SX or the new OS 55 AX. If you have experience with these engines, please give me some advice. In particular, if you have experience with BOTH engines!

Thanks,
Oly

Get the newer 55AX. The days of the 50SX are numbered and it will soon be obsolete with no parts available.

I thought the 50 was gone too, but then I saw Tower has them in "limited stock" status. I have a 50 and it's been a godd, powerful engine. I guess I was wondering how the 55 compares.

Thanks!

Never actually owned a "50" but have started - tuned them and completely rebuilt a couple. I consider them a very good engine but the way OS is about obsolescence you best not get another one.

Unless you can find one at a dealer or distributor, Tower is already out of the 50.
