Replacement carb for OS 91FX?
I was wondering if there was another carb available for the OS 91FX? The stock carb #60F cost $59 plus shipping from Tower Hobbies. Is there another brand or alternate carb that i can use?

RE: Replacement carb for OS 91FX?
Hi,
I tried the Magnum's carb. It is the same at high-rpm, but the chinese guys haven't done the job as precisely
as the original OS they have copied and the rpm transitions are not so good, neither the low-rpm.
Also, check the carb for remains from the metal processing - there I found bad particles which can harm the
engine if they get inside of the engine. Well, for high-rpm the performance is quite the same of course.
Regards,
Nick

Thanks for the information. Most of flying will be done at low to mid setting. Maybe i will just buy the OS. I was just trying to be cheap...

RE: Replacement carb for OS 91FX?
Hi Smokey,
If you will fly slow-to-mid rpm, then the best carb should be some 3-needles (or at least 2 needles) from OS.91 HELI engines.
Then you have very good transitions and lot of freedom of settings. The new are expensive but what I did I purchased an old
and exhausted Heli engine from eBay and used the carb; it was just 25 Euro the whole thing. The idea came from an
experienced Heli-pilot who explained to me why those guys cannot afford any instability in the low-and-mid-range rpm,
i.e. if they use our simple-minded-airplane carbs, then they better forget flying their heli.
