RE: supertigre 4500
As far as I know, they don't make the G4500 any more.
It's understandable -- the G4500 is a *heavy* engine that drinks fuel like there's no tomorrow and these days you can buy a damned good (lighter) 50cc gasser with *more* power for only a few coins more.
I was tempted to get a G4500 myself (before the stopped making them) but the cost of that fuel (even with 0% nitro and 12% oil) pushed the total cost of ownership way past a good 50cc gasser like the DL50 after only a couple of months flying time.
And, the 50cc gasser is more reliable, easier to start, runs on the smell of an oily rag and comes with a pump carb so you don't have to mess around with 3rd-party pumps or stick the *huge* glowfuel tank way forward of the CG so as to upset the trim.
G4500 -- nice idea but it's easy to see why they never really sold too many.

Coachdavis10:
I have a nearly new ST G4500 engine, complete with ST mount (aluminum) and an inverted Bisson muffler. The engine is just broken in (gently on bench then in the air - about 6 flights or so). I've put about 1-1.5 gallons of 5% through it. Friends say these big engines will run nicely on 0% homebrew but I've stuck to commercial fuel. Unfortunately, it just doesn't fit with my current stable of GS models. Never crashed or damaged. These motors are real stump-pullers...but also haul 15-20+lb planes nicely too...

Moderator,
You need to apply the posting rules fairly. What applies to one applies to all.[:@]
You know what I'm getting at here. If not, PM me and I'll explain it. It has to do with Super Tigre carburetors.

I am sure the stinger would be a great plane to put it in but they are like the 4500 not made any-more, Does any one elses have the carb mounted to the rear of the engine?

RE: supertigre 4500
with gas overtaking methanol, and oils being much of a muchness, and my 4500 runs as good as my DA50 on fuel u can shove the da back in the closet, ok I run a perry pump, but other than that its stock std, and no ignition to fail as my da's did twice (which is why I dont use the rubbish) No ignition to worry bout, not bad on fuel when tunerd right, awesiome power, and I think I am underpropped running a 22x10. Its in a 87 extra now while my edge is being built but i am not going gas, this baby will do nicely. if its half as good as my 2 3000's I will be more than pleased

RE: supertigre 4500
Where can I get the carb and ignition module to convert my 4500 to Gas. I like gass burners alot more than nitro or meth. I do know where there is another 4500 for sale at I think they want about 300 for it and a slim line muffler as well as the stock and a few other items added in.
