needle valve swap?
Greetings engine guru's...Can a remote needle valve from one .60 size engine be used on a different .60 size engine as long as the standard needle valve opening can be plugged. In other words, can a OS .61 FX remote valve (for example) be used on say an old Enya, or a Webra, or a HB. Thanks for your input in advance.

RE: needle valve swap?
Leave the standard needle valve where it is (I'm presuming you just want to get your fingers further from the prop) but open it a couple of extra turns from the normal setting so it's not restricting the flow of fuel from the remote needle.

RE: needle valve swap?
I cut the cast-on remote assembly on a lot of my OS FX engines and replace them with GMS remote needles. Works great and I don't have to use hemostats to hook up the fuel line.
I have attached a couple of pictures of the OS .25FX with a GMS .25 remote needle. I have 2 of them with Jett mufflers on a twin and the needles work great.

RE: needle valve swap?
Thanks for the replys....Ed: I had the same problem with a Magnum remote, it was very difficult to get the fuel line reattached after fueling. The Tower remote for the same size engine had the fuel nipple positioned on top instead of pointing toward the center. I did not make the change, just noticed it on a club member's Tower Trainer w/ a Tower engine.
