I have one already (for the last 27 years...) and I used it after the injury, Jens.
It is a Sullivan Hi-Torque.
So now, I will start breaking crank-pins/crankshafts and bending con-rods...[sm=bananahead.gif][sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

A little CA will fix that right up.

I won't proclaim any expert knowledge to quote at you but I'll trust the numerous medico's who warn never to use CA as a wound treatment. It contaminates the wound, burns, and has chemical nasties in it you'd be better off without.
As for those old war stories you hear about CA being used in emergencies, it's just a war story and no endorsement of CA being used for wound treatment.

I hate to sound negative but it is worth pointing out that CA should never be used on wounds!

Don't you think there may have been just a slight chance that DJLyon was only kidding?

The Raven, have you ever heard of the term "tongue in cheek"?

On the Ca glue for those prop mishaps there is now a "liquid bandage" on the drug store shelves in the first aid dept guess what cyanacrylate is the listed ingredient -martin
the only issue is if you have an allergy to the stuff, a few years back it was used in ortho surgery in for gluing in hip replacements worked great but due to severe reactions including
shock reactions resulting in sveral deaths it was droppedi I have used it for years for those prop mishapss and the slip of the # 11 blade in building planes

The issue of bent rods and broken cranks could be overcome if they used an adjustable clutch such as used on electric drills, surprised they have not applied this to starters

Hey Dar,
Sorry this had to happen on your first visit to our field. I hope it wont keep you from flying with us again.
You could have used one of my chicken sticks, I have two:

....a medic told me about 25 years ago that CA was developed for first aid use, and
the immediate closing of high bleed injuries. I didn't expect him to be making this up, or
lying about it. I had a friend that owned the local hobby shop in my neighborhood when CA
first came out. He used backing powder as a filler between joints on the balsa wood, then
applied the CA. It was called "Hot Stuff', and the joint would emit a puff of smoke when it
"kicked-off".
Did you ever notice that CA certainly glues skin better than it glues anything else....
.....and almost instantly.
FBD.

I already took revenge in the melons, on the dirt road from the runway...[>:]
What may keep me away is the sheer distance (over four times further than Khavat Ronit F.E.) and the fact that I selected not to opt for a company car...
Besides, that Saito would easily break your chicken sticks...

when after a severe car accident, the medics got me on my feet again (took 10 years), my leg was opened so often, that stitches and suteres would not do. CA was often used to temporarily hide my thigh bones from view until the next operation.
As a result, I do have an allergy now, but I can walk again, sort of.
