Super Tigre G51 won't run on Wildcat fuel ?
Anyone have trouble running Super Tigre engine (ST 51) using Wildcat fuel ? Always ran CoolPower 15% without any trouble , tried a jug of wildcat 15% (18% oil) and seemed like the plug would foul after a minuet of run time . Same fuel in two different Saito 4 strokes ran fine. ?????????

I have a ST 51 on my boxxer and runs fine with wildcat 15% and 18% oil. My other ST I am running OS 8 will not run with other plugs.

thanks for the info. I'vre had no luck with thw wildcat fuel at all in the ST51. I've tried OS plugs from #3 to #8 and no luck. Guess I'll just stick with the Coolpower for now

RE: Super Tigre G51 won't run on Wildcat fuel ?
Judging from the responses I've been getting, nobody else is having this problem. I've tried the OS # 3,5 and 8 plugs in place of my trusty Fox RC longs and still not having any success. The engine smokes quite a bit so I'm thinking that the oil ratio may be a bit off in this jug, either that or I'm not setting the carb properly. I'm going to stick with the cool power for now. Thanks for your reply

I haven't tried that particular combo but I do have a Magnum 46XLS that does not like Omega 15%. It never dies on Byron's or Cool Power but is very finicky when run on Omega. Every other engine I own runs fine on that same jug of fuel. (I am starting to think it has something to do with the Castor) Like you I have tried different plugs with no big change. It does run it's best on an OS 8 but will still dead stick once in a while. Good luck. [8D]
P.S. Wildcat seems to run leaner than Cool Power in my OS 50 Hyper so that may be the source of your plug problem. If it gets too lean it can eat a plug. I just don't have any experience with Wildcat in my plank engines.

Been using WildCat for about 15 years, never a problem, in fact a couple of times it has solved other peoples problem when I let them try some.

Wildcat is good fuel. It uses the KLOTZ oil package which is used by 6 major fuel makers that I know of. The key here is Super Tigre is made for the low nitro market and will barely run on anybodies 15%. If the Wildcat has some castor in it . The needles will have to change on both LS and HS. even though both are 15%.

You may have to adjust your engine for the fuel. If you change ANYTHING, prop, fuel, plug, exhaust system, you will have to change the settings of the carburetor to tune the engine to the new situation. The statement that you are seeing heavy smoke says that the carb's likely set too rich.
