RE: Enya 2 strokes
I bought the .61CX.
The quality of the motor is superb. I only ever got a chance to run it on the test stand and it turned a Bolly 12.5x6 at 11,000rpm if i remember correctly.

I just ordered a new Enya 61CX TN and a 40XZ TN. Anyone had the pleasure of running them?

This is a question one must ask BEFORE ordering an engine; not after the fact...
Enya engines are very good, but this is a general fact.

RE: Enya 2 strokes
I don't have a specific answer, Walt, but can offer that Enya engines in my experience are bullet-proof. Any I've had have always throttled really well, to boot.
I've an Enya question myself, and apologize is this is the wrong place to ask it. I'm new to this forum stuff and don't know how to navigate it. I've an Enya 45X which dates, I think, to the early 80s. It still has superb compression, etc, but it needs a new carb. The importer, MRC, lists none and so far has declined to answer my emailed inquiries. Anybody know where I can get a new or used carb for a 45X?

Ken Enya is now selling engines and parts direct from his web site.
Here is the carb for the 45X:

I have a .15 and a .25. Had them for years. Just wanted to hear how the bigger engines where.
The two I have are super. Took a looooog time to break in though.

I have the 61CX, it is a great engine, low weight and good power. Throttles perfectly and runs about 10500 - 11000 on a 12-8 MAS. The carb bore is quite small for a 60; i think it is a 7mm therefore it does well at lower rpm's.
