Default Saito 180 in Sig Sukhoi Su 31 ?

Hello,

Would the Saito 180 be a good enough engine for the Sig Sukhoi?
I already have he engine, and like the Sukhoi. However according to Sig a 180 4 stroke is the smallest engine to use.
Maybe the Saito has more power than average, or will my sukhoi fly slow and will not perform.

I hope someone can help me out.

regards,

Eric Schumacher, Curacao, Netherlands Antilles.

I would more consider a ZDZ 40 than a Saito 180.

The Saito would be good for the Cap or Extra but not very good for Sukhoi. 3D Joy has a good point for the ZDZ, also check FPE and some others for 40 to 50cc engines.

How bout the Brison 2.4 at 2.75 pounds and only another 6 0z. for a muffler? This ought to be a good combo for the Sig Sukhoi .
Sure hope so. Brison has the 2.4 on sale for 399.95 and 69.00 for the muffler. I just ordered mine. Engine alone is regular 499.95.

The Gemini ought to fly the stew out the plane and sound great to boot. Good luck. I will post on the Brison once I try it.
