RE: fliteline web site is down!!
Fliteline solutions is gone forever. He switched over to a new site from the original, but this was temporary before his intentions to close out for good. He is in British Columbia, Canada. The thing you need to do is file a small radius on the Low speed needle. Right where the point of the needle starts to go to a taper. Charlie Thacker at Fox Manufacturing can give you exact insite with a diagram too. I have done this with both of my Fox .40's with excellent results.

This is what the internet archive is for.
Here's a link to the site:
http://web.archive.org/web/200502062...solutions.com/
You can enter any old URL in the site below and chances are they have an archived copy. Sometimes the images are missing, but the text is all there.

RE: fliteline web site is down!!
I'm glad to help. I felt the same way when someone told me about the archive.
There are several saved versions of the site. You can try different ones to see which one has the most content:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://...esolutions.com
The archive does periodic saves and sometimes you can visit different versions of a particular web site over time.

RE: fliteline web site is down!!
I think this is what you are looking for.
read through, it talks about mods for the midrange.
http://web.archive.org/web/200303101.../project4.html
Here is the portion I think you are looking for:
If you like to experiment, an MKX carburetor with an excessively rich midrange can be improved somewhat by slightly enlarging the jet in the spray bar. Remove the jet assembly from the carburetor, remove the high-speed needle, then drill out the spray bar with a #55 drill.
NOTE: This modification is for older .40 size "MKX" series carburetors only. Don't try this on the new "improved" two-needle carburetor!
I
This modification allows the idle mixture needle to be screwed farther into the jet to lean the midrange without causing an overly lean idle. Because it will now travel further into the jet, in some cases it is necessary to shorten the idle mixture needle slightly to prevent it from contacting the high-speed needle when the throttle barrel is fully closed. This is accomplished by filing a small amount off the tip.

Thanks for the new site! I was wondering if I was gonna learn something new today [X(] Another one worth living. It even prompted me to find the autobiography of Duke Fox. Quite the pioneer he was.
