Default OS 26FS valves

I have an older 26 FS that runs good, but when slowly cranking over, you can hear air escaping out the exhaust. It has done this since I have had it, A while back I replaced the bearings and dissassembled the head and cleaned off the valves and sorta barely lapped the exhaust valve with some toothpaste. The valve and seat look good to me. Is this somewhat normal for this engine? Like I said, it runs fine....

Default RE: OS 26FS valves

It's not exactly desirable but if lapping doesn't cure it it may be better just to use it if it still runs

A lot of the smaller four strokes do this
