Cam Bearing "pusher"
I have a OS fs 70 that needed new bearings. To remove the main bearings was a breeze. but the cam bearings!!!! JEEPERS what a mission......
Anyway I made myself a puller http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6960314/tm.htm , I basically made myself a frustration tool.[:@]
Then I got a idea from a friend of mine, by just packing it with grease or "prestick". To make a long story short, I got both bearings out in less than 10 minutes.
Just get a wooden dowel that is a tight fit into the bearing, and start filling, tapping, filling, tapping and there you go. Pressure is a wonderfull thing in this case.
I have added a few pics

RE: Cam Bearing "pusher"
Yip grease wont work, if the bearing is not shielded. But it should work with "prestick" Not sure what you guy's call it in the States and in the UK.
If you put the prestick in a fridge for a hour or two, it should stiffen it up, making it harder to press through the cavity's
A friend of mine used this method to push out a non shielded main bearing, on a motorbike's crankcase.
