Engine reccomendations for BUSA Pheaton II
This fall Im gonna build a Balsa USA Phaeton II kit. The weight is between 6 and 6 1/2 lbs. with a w.s. of 52"
I would like a 4-stroke, but what size??
Supposedly the airframe takes up to a .91fs, doesnt that seem a bit large?

RE: Engine reccomendations for BUSA Pheaton II
A friend built one 4 years ago and put a Saito 80 in the plane.
It can be a hand full if run full throttle. He still has the Saito 80 on the plane.
Therefore I think it would be fine with a engine like a Saito 56.
You will like the Phaeton II. It is a great compromise between functionality and ease of build.

I just built one and used a Magnum .52 four stroke on it. More than enough power for this type of airplane. It was a fun build and flys great.

great input! I was thinkin about a Magnum .72, it sounds like the .91 they claim it can take would be brutal!
