The OS 52 is 10mm and the 70/91 are 11mm

yeah, but which one will fit my asp .61, I want a flex header so I can center the silencer coming out the back of the cowl so when I add the smoke system the smoke will come out centered plus it will clean up the look if the silencer isn't hanging out of the cowl

The Magnum 61 is just a bored out Magnum 52. Most parts are common like the valves and the carburetor and exhaust

but I want to use an O.S. flex header, on the magnum.asp engine, and I cannot find a listing for the magnum thread size...tower doesn't seem to stock the magnum parts anymore which I thought they did...heres the header I am looking at, but they make one listed as 10mm and one listed as 11mm and one with one of each end...but this one is the correct length [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCB16&P=7]http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCB16&P=7[/link]

the OS 10mm mufflers fit the Magnum 52 and 61. Tower never did carry parts for the Magnums or Thunder Tiger though they carried the engines

Horizon had parts for Magnums/ASP but carried the ASP engines up through about 2003

ok, well hobby people carries the parts which is where I ordered the head from...its on its way so I had to get this exhaust back together quickly, I guess in that case then the 10mm one is right, I damaged the stock header in an attempt to make a pitts style exhaust which is what I blamed this problem on when the engine died, but I repaired the header enough to put it back stock and it still wouldn't start which is when I checked the valves and found the problem, I just checked the outside diameter of the threads on the exhaust header(that I dug outta my trash can) and converted it and it came out to 11mm, I know to make a standard thread like 3/8th you turn the stock down to 3/8th before threading it, is metric the same way cause then I'd be baffled...I am gonna take your word for it though on the mufflers, since only the larger OS engines seem to have that 11mm thread...thanks again w8ye, for answering all my dumb questions lately, just that this is the first time I have ever owned or ran a 4 stroke and haven't ever really looked into them before...

The Saito 45, 50, 56, & 62 are also 10 mm but the threads per mm are different and will not fit the OS and Magnum 52

ok, I did check the one on my magnum .30 also it appears the same size but it has a course thread and not this fine thread...I'm gonna order the flex head from OS, then for my smoke system I'm gonna get some tubing and either fill it with water and freeze it for bending in tight coils or I'll anneal it so it bends easily, if you ever need to bend music wire or anything where strength isn't a huge issue put some soot on it with a dirty flame then hit it with the torch till the the soot burns off and it will bend very easily...I used this process to make a mount for the silencer...
