Just so you should know, that battery formulation you had quoted, includes [link=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polonium]Polonium[/link] (Chemical sign 'Po'), which has only radioactive isotopes...
So, I guess it will be pretty dangerous to fly this newfangled model...[] or to even come within close proximity of it...

Not me. I love the smell of glow fuel and will pay a premium to continue to use it. The smell of glow fuel makes me happy.
I hate, abhor, eschew, despise and really just don't like the smell of gasoline. It makes me think of hours and hours I have spent working on automobiles, lawn mowers, weed wackers, chain saws, snow blowers, generators, and so on. Gasoline makes me think of work. I don't want my models stinking of gasoline. I don't want my basement where I store my models stinking of gasoline.
End of neurotic rant.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A37gxHBfgw0 This looks like better setup to save fuel cost. It is Ken Lamberts Supertiger 2300 conversion to gas. He installs a needle bearing rod...ect. Capt,n

RE: Good Bye Glow!
the people who shout, go to biofuels. their is one big problem with that.
look at our fuel, 18% oil, 10%+ nitro or 72% methanol, which 2 cost the most?
methanol runs at something like 2-3 dollars a gallon. oil at 30+ a gallon and nitro, well that 60+ a gallon (these are just quick lookup numbers, may be able to get them cheaper)
so substitute methanol for e85 and you may save......a few dollars?
if engine manufactures could find a way to put rollers bearings (not sure what you call them) in the con rod, like they do in gassers. then we could run 3% oil and this would drop our costs very quickly
and if they were to run engines at a higher compression ratio so we could run no nitro yet still make 10%+ nitro power then you could see 5 dollar a gallon fuel that would last longer than the fuels we use today (due to the fact it has more methanol because their isnt as much oil or nitro).
our fuel cost would be 4-5 bucks a gallon if that.
im not sure but if you could put roller bearings in small engine (smaller than 120 size), wouldnt this increase power output? i would have thought, that if it would work, they would have done it by now.
you could then take this idea into the "evil hobby empires" debate that they arnt doing the above to charge us 15+ for a gallon of fuel.
