Evolution ABC .46 running backwards
I had to start my evolution .46 abc with the chicken stick today b/c my starter battery wasn't up to snuff for my starter. It always wanted to seem to run backwards initially. Sometimes it would kick back correct itself and then run correctly. I have had this motor in the same plane for many months but have always used the starter on it and its easy to start. What would cause this running backward initially? Sometimes i would it would not correct itself and I would shut it down via the xmitter and retry. Got several good flights today with no issues on idlel or throttle up, etc..

hmmm it must be primed on the juicy side... since i didn't have my starter I must have pulled a little bit to much fuel into carb before starting...
Thanks!

It's 6:35pm Mountain Standard Time right now.
Ram Jet, do you have your profile set up correctly? There is a time adjustment you can use to reflect your current local time.

I agree it's probably over primed, if it usually starts backwards then you can try flicking the prop backwards to make the engine start forward, this woks quite well for me.
