OS 4 cycle crankcase oil recycle system

Has anybody had the crankcase vent tube to the carb keep coming off? Mine has twice now causing quite a mess, but it almost seems as if the engine runs better with it off. Comments???????

It was factory new! Actually I replaced it with some Dubro colored line which feels a little more stiff and reinforced it with some curled wire into the form of a spring around the line.

Some of the Dubro is heavy duty. Should be good.
