RE: Older Super Tiger
That looks to be the small case 60 from the time. Originally designed for control line stunt. The rc version was a very good motor. About 2 months ago I rebuilt one for a friend. New bearings and a ring from Frank and it is still towing around a Tiger 60.

RE: Older Super Tiger
Hopefully this is ok to post here. A rare find - brand new engine as discussed in this thread - Will edit this post once sold to include selling price for future reference.

I have a old Como .51 engine that is a ''ABC'' engine with no piston ring. It still runs great with mega power! Capt,n

I'm curious how the V60 compares to a modern .60.

The V-60 is very comparable to a K&B .61 ( #6550) powerwise. It has a chromed sleeve, PDP porting and is ringed. They can last forever and are still highly prized in C/L stunt circles. Tom Dixon offers a Russian made AAC stunt version called the Double Star. I use my ST 60 on the older 60 designs or as a modern .40 it weighs in just under 14 oz's depending on muffler. It shares muffler dimensions with ST .45-60, Como .51, K&B 61 & 65, Webra Silverline & Blackhead 61's, and HB 40-61's, giving a lot of latitude in that respect. It has excellent manners and earns a spot in your heart. I have several of them in my stable.
