I just talked to Vivian at Hobbyking via live chat.... she asked me to send the pictures to their email.... I told them that the correct and best solution is that they send me a new crankshaft....

I am not willing to pay any kind of shipping for warranty issues when I already paid 250USD for this engine with shipping..

Let's see what they have to say.

Bad luck there, but it shouldn`t affect the engine in any way now that you have it cleaned up. If it is going to cost you to have it replaced I would just run it as is, the engine will behave as normal even though it has a cosmetical flaw, but it will be consealed when it is fully assembled again anyway. After some use there will be a little oil on there too so it propably will not rust anymore

I reassembled the engine and put some lube here and there, the engine was dry, and as you said, I'm not concerned about the engine not running well etc...Just wanted them to honor the warranty and I requested a new crankshaft, let's see what happens.

I haven't had the chance to get the engine running, I also need a carb o-ring and don't have the glow plug/prop yet, I'm waiting for my shippments to come from germany.
