YS160 Power Issues
My YS160 (Mej 19x8 prop) used to happily sit in a 74" EF Yak, loads of power and vertical performance.
Had to go away for a check up (bearings and crank replaced, plus tuned) after the Yak went in and it now resides in my Capiche 140. 3 people had now flown it and everyone commented how it runs out of power when climbing. Stuck a tacho on it this afternoon and its come back at 7800. Looking on line and back through previous posts i reckon it should be up around 8600-8800.
Its been suggested i'm possibly running the wrong prop (told to try a 17 x 10)but like i said it was really happy on the Yak. Both models are similar weight so takes that out the equation.
Any help appreciated.

RE: YS160 Power Issues
Other thoughts are that it could just be a tad lean on the HS needle.
If it's just a bit lean, the response will be great but it will sag to lower RPM's as the cylinder heats up rapidly.
Try a slightly richer setting and see if the top end climbs some.
