Enya 80 rocker shaft thread
Hello; One of my Enya 80's started leaking from the rocker cover, turns out that the cover screws into the rocker shaft tower. The thread on the exhaust side.
Theres not much material for a bigger screw there.
This engine runs so good, it's a shame to see it leak like that, but I don't want to buy a new head.
Do I have to "live with it"?

RE: Enya 80 rocker shaft thread
Hello; Perhaps I didn't explain clearly enough; the rocker shaft is held in position by the cover screws, with a flat ground on one end. The threads that hold the cover in place are on the top of the rocker support. The rocker support isn't replaceable, unless I replace the head. There that should do it.

RE: Enya 80 rocker shaft thread
Fill the hole with jb weld and re-tap it or oil the scew and insert if in the hole while the jb weld is still fresh, pushing the jb weld firmly into the hole so it shapes perfectly to the threads.
Hope this helps.
Have a nice 2010
