Default Rossi Engines OUT OF PRODUCTION

http://www.novarossi.it/eng/products...203D&brand=rex

Click on any engine type and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

I don't think I'll be buying any Rossi engines...

Novarossi is not Rossi. They might be related somehow but are not the same company. I have never even seen a Novarossi plane or heli engine at the field.

Rossi brothers, the secondbrother went his own way in 1984 and became NovaRossi. Excellent engines as well.

I have always wanted to try a Novarossi plane engine, just never ran across one for sale anywhere other than the internet.

used a Novarossi .25 in my free flights for B class.....turned an 8x4 FG Rev-Up at 25,500rpm..............took first in B class each time it was entered.
although this wasn't RC related, it was in a 550 sq inch Satellte (yep Hot Stuff AKA Satellite City) design and got so high in the allotted engine run time that i was accused of cheating..........best out of the box engine i ever owned.

That guy lives just a couple of miles away from me. He operates out of his house, and when I ordered something I said I just wanted to come over and pick it up in person. He would not allow that. I found that to be weird. And suspicious.

I live near (now out of business) RC showcase and wanted to drop by to make purchases, they did not like that either. I did drop by, but the much prefered shipping items to me instead. It may have something to do with the business laws in certain areas, that they are not allowed to have customers on the premises without meeting certain rules and regs.

a shipping firm is not the same as a shopkeeper (street window shop), and may well get his supplies cut off if he sells directly.

If you click on the out of production graphic, you will see that it is simply showing the older models that are no longer in production.

Out of Production and Coming Soon means we don't have anything to sell...

You can go to the Nation Wide Distribution list and click any country and check stock and try to purchase an engine. Trying to buy one of these engines â€Especially an AERO engine†is like taking on a second job. Their entire internet purchasing system is Wonky…

About all that’s left are buggy/car engines. I found a couple .15 size engines at 50% off which (to me means) Lets Dump This Stuff.

Italy is feeling the crunch like a lot of European countries. Rossi has been sending their liners to (China or Someplace) to have them chrome plated.

It doesn’t look good.

In this case out of production is the old models that they may or may not have in stock. The coming soon engines are different models replacing them. Read the news section on the newer engines. If they are out of stock it may or may not be a bad thing. At least they were able to sell their stock, lots of engine companies have had trouble doing that. Mecoa has made a profit by buing left over stock of defunct engine companies.

Rossi has been sending their liners to (China or Someplace) to have them chrome plated.
This is not Rossi, NoviRossi is a different company.

It sure seems like most of the plain Rossi's are in stock.

Like some big firm would have known? I could go knock on his door anytime. He works from his house.

Anyway, that was my first and last purchase from him. Charged me UPS shipping for two miles.

I was looking at the .57. They don't show it either.

No Biggie, I think I'll buy one of the new Jett 56LX engines.

I've had nothing but excellent service from those guys and I've heard "it's a freakin animal" by someone who owns one.

It's not weird, and it's not suspicious, it's working within his license to sell online only. I sell RC out of my house, and keep the floor traffic to a minimum for code enforcement wouldn't want a residential area to conduct retail business. I'm licensed to sell online, not with cars pulling up around the house. I'm sure he doesn't want his neighbors irritated either. If I sell used merchandise, I consider that personal property and have no problem meeting someone in my home for those items I've flown.

I got an email tonight about my order for NovaRossi engines, planethobby replied:

Any way of proving this in a thread that's 4 1/2 years old?

Other than having spoke to Allen about his comment, and his remembering shipping something like 1/2 dozen engines to the guy no. It seems like a slanderous comment in spirit of the thread to me, which is why I asked about it specifically. Rossi doesn't just quit making engines. If an engine is out of production, they usually make an engine to replace it or as an upgrade for that class of engine. Just to say that Novarossi is out of engines is a ridiculous comment. That's what they do is make engines! I"m always looking for older engines like Fox and Rossi even though newer engines are made, I understand someone that likes electric may seek the demise of nitro, jumping on the bandwagon of nitro engines not being made anymore doesn't change the fact that nitro is still widely used in certain sects of the hobby.
True enough though, I shouldn't have raised a 4 year old thread. My apologies for that.

There are no Rossi engines to be found on any of the links posted in this thread. If you find a new "Rossi" engine for sale "Please let us know"...
