.46 Glow engine for trainer
Hello all,
I am putting together a trainer for a young newbe with little money to work with. I have an OS SF .46, an OS FXi .46 and an Evolution .46. The SF is older of course, but runs good and has a good liner and bearings. The FXi and EVO are almost new. For minimum cost to the newbe, which engines should I keep and which one delegate to trainer use? I really think any one of the engines is very suited for trainer use and just am wondering the relative value for costing purposes.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Richard

You`re the one who sets the price since it is your engines. Give him the one you are willing to let go for less, it will not matter to him what brand it is as long as it is working as it should

The Evolution probably puts out more power with the OS #6 A3 plug. Also, the parts are way cheaper if he has the inevitable crash. That would be my take on the choice. The Evolution ***may*** survive accidental lean runs better.
Both brands are fairly easy to tune and keep running. I would guess the Evolution low speed needle is more forgiving.
