Does someone know the difference between the 46FX and the 46FXi, besides the plastic needle assy. and the ducktail head? Just curious.

Yo creo que es solo una cuestion de marketing...porque el FXi solo viene con los aviones Hobbico, con una filosofĂ*a similar a la de los motores evolution con los limitadores en las agujas y etc...


I really think it is just a marketing stuff...just for the hobbico trainers,l with a similar philosphy to the evolutions with needle valve limiters etc.

It has been reported that the FXi has a slightly lower compression to make it more user friendly.
I have ran an FXi and an FX on the same day with the same props and fuel and there is not enough difference to comment on.

The SuperTigre X-60 is a rear-exhaust high-RPM engine with Schneurle porting. It was originally designed for what has become known as "ballistic pattern". It was intended to be used with a tuned pipe, and so was ported accordingly. It would not be a good engine without a pipe.
