os fs 120 parts
 

i have a os fs 120 motor, it needs a push-rod and a rocker arm. im haveing a hard time trying to locate the parts. any help would be apprecieted.

thank you cyberwolf for the info. i took a look and alls they had was the push- rods., i also need the rocker arm, they didnt have. oh well, thats how my luck works. hammer time. thanks again.

which 1.20 eng. do you have? does it have two rocker cover's or does it have one cover? is it a surpase eng. or serise III eng. or newer. do you have a parts list for the eng.? several of the parts for the old [two rocker cover] eng. are still being used in the newer eng's today.

ASP/SC/Magnum (all made by Sanye) 120 FS parts may be a perfect substitute.

hi jorge, no parts list, and it has 2 rocker covers. im not fimillluar with the 4 stroke motors. the only markings on the motor is os fs 120. i was motor was given to me. the guy told me what it needed. i wish i could get the parts for it, so i could put it back on the goldberg 300. i have a 91 in it now for the time being. i like the sound of the 4 stroke motors. if i cant find the parts , then ill sell it or trade for a 2 stroke motor. if someone wants the 120, and they could find the parts, they would have a 400 dollor motor cheap. the motor looks new. plus the pipe.

the part # for the pushrod is 45566000. tower hobby has them. the part # for the rocker arm is 45561000. they do not have it. what is wrong with the old rocker arm? if it is just the adj. screw that can be replaced with a new one. i have a lightly used [bench run] ASP 1.20 four stroke i will trade you for your old 1.20. i am flying two acft now with the 'old' 1.20 eng's. an ugly stick and a PT17. i bought my first os 1.20 in 1983, they are a sweet running eng. hope this info. helps.

hey jorge, the rocker arm is broke in half. what is wrong with your 120. the guy i got the goldberg 300 from, he somehow bent the push-rod on the 120. so he took the 120 out, and put a thundertiger 91 on it. a heli motor. why, i dont know. anyhow, i want to take out the heli motor , and put what is suppose to go on it. i like my toys to be perfect. the thing about 4 stroke motors, is that so many things can go wrong with them. not like a 2 stroke. do you have any o.s 91s you would like to part with? keep in touch.

check the valve that the rocker arm[broken] was on to make sure the valve is ok. to bend a push rod and break a rocker arm, something went wrong. i have four eng's, all are four stroke. nothing wrong with any of them. i only fly two of them. i have a spare rocker arm from a OS 1.20 surpass[parts eng] i can send you and you can see if it will fit. i quite flying two strokes back in the 80's. i'm an old fart, i started building and flying in 67 in SEA. kept me from going nuts.

hi jorge, im afraid to take the top end of the motor apart, if you are interested in the motor, let me know , im interested in that 120 you have , i need one that i dont have to work on, like i said, im not use to the 4 strokes. the 2 strokes i know about. im sure it wouldnt take much to get this o.s.- 120 fs up and running again. i dont have the knowledge. different strokes for different folks. wright?

sent you a PM. i check the valves once a year, change the high speed mixture twice a year [winter and spring] and just fly. i hand start mine. just a matter of getting use to them. i cheat a little, i'm ex AF acft mech. have worked on a few round eng's.
