Wait! What?! Gas? YOU!?!?!?! Aren't you the one saying CDI is the way to go, or am I getting you confoosed with someone else?

BTW Page 1300 Top post! Woo.

FlyerInOKC 10-24-2016 10:39 AM

Cool!

I'm the right guy but sometimes I get notionsome, as Festus Hagen would say and do strange things. I borrowed the carb from my Tartan 1.34. The 1.50 was already CDI'd thanks to Dan.

I hope you fellers don't mind my mentioning a Saito. I adapted a ZAMA gasoline carb from a TARTAN 1.34 onto my Saito 1.50. If the crankcase pulses will operated the pump, it will work. The strategically placed 2/56 screw stops the throttle at precisely fully open.

More details please. Glow or gas (choke, gag)? Carb mods if for glow? ECDI? Performance? Video? Thanks.

The ignition is a 1997 C&H unit with SynchroSpark, Dan provided the trigger wheel and the Hall effect sensor.

Always good for a laugh or three.

The other day I asked my daughter what she did with her sock. She pointed out the window to a stick in the ground and there was her sock. She told me she made me a windsock for my birthday.

Yes mate as long as they are not electric powered,in fact,it would have to smell like a red hot saito on heaps of nitro and i'm feeling notional on a whiff of castor :)

I'm looking for a Pitts muffler for a Saito 82 if anyone has one they want to sell.

acdii 10-25-2016 09:11 AM

I have a pitts for some kind of saito, It came with my 125 but its not the proper one for it. I think it has a 12mm threaded nipple for it.

hi guys
we have a satio fg-14c on a arrow 55 biplane we never could get the engine to run on a consistent idle ,the fuel tank and line are right no air leaks tight fittings close to the fire walland in line with the carb adjusted the valves and the hi - low needle ,thanks ronhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2187524

acdii 10-25-2016 05:08 PM

LSN is most likely too lean. Also make sure you have the right size prop, too small a prop can affect the idle in the gas engine. One other thing to check is the filter screen, you pull the cover off the carb and there is a screen in there. there could have been some gunk in the tank that got sucked in to the carb and cause some blockage.

rye 10-25-2016 05:45 PM

thanks ill try new size prop and we did check the carb for blockage before all cleared ,one more thing i forgot to say was it will not prime with the flipping of the prop i have to blow into the vent line to get it to prime ,thanks

acdii 10-25-2016 06:58 PM

I take it this is a new engine. If so it takes quite some time before everything starts to work properly. Run a few 12 ounces tanks through it and it will start running and priming better.

acdii 10-27-2016 08:53 AM

I have one that say's just the opposite. From my wife of course.

actually is says mud stuffin

p3arljam 10-27-2016 06:41 PM

acdii do you want to part with that pitts muffler I am looking for the inverted pitts not the side mount one.

acdii 10-27-2016 07:01 PM

Let me go take a pic, I will post it in a few minutes. I don't have a use for it.

acdii 10-27-2016 07:11 PM

I honestly dont know how this is supposed to work with the listed engines unless the exhaust is on the left of the engine.

https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...9c&oe=589EBA97

EDIT, OK I looked for a 120 and found the FG30B which is the 180 case and found the exhaust comes out the rear, so this is the correct muffler for the 120, 150 and 180.

p3arljam 10-27-2016 07:59 PM

Thanks anyway but I needed it for a Saito 82.

Yeh and my idea is to be stuck in an old home for the frail where you need someone strong to lift you on and off again, that and pinin for the smell of a saito on castor.

ps pearl look at the soft keleo exhausts made for saito

I have an FA-180. Please PM me for what you want for this muffler. Thank you.
