What Plane Is This???
I THINK THIS IS A STERLING STEARMAN BUT I'M NOT SURE. AND DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A DUMMY RADIAL ENGINE FOR IT THANKS, PLEASE CHECK MY GALLERY I CAN'T ATTACH A PHOTO RIGHT NOW FOR SOME REASON

What Plane Is This???
The top wing is just under 65" and the lower wing is about 60" give or take a few. Do you have any idea's? thanks for getting the photo on for me

Thanks for the info I appreciate it. So you think it is a sterling kit than?? have you flown one of these kit's before?? if so how does it handle??

A flying buddy out in california had one, it was a handfull for him. He had a 60 in it (not enough power) and it liked to tip stall a lot.
it would fly realistically but was lots of work to keep in the air, also liked to ground loop on takeoff's.
Ron had flown many types of planes and was pretty experienced, it may have been due to the setup more than the kit itsel but he allways had a hard time with it. It was a tough plane though, survived serveral minor crashes.

the red pt-17 flown in the movie capricorn one was a sterling pt 17 kit as i knew the person thay built it for the movie.looks like it flew ok for them.
