DH-88 Comet: Where does the exhaust exit from?
On the life size Comet, I can't seem to find where the exhaust exits from. Can someone tell me or possibly show me where the exhaust exits from.

Thank you. I saw that too, but assumed it was something else. I felt that a single pipe that small couldn't be the exhaust.

Not a single per engine, but one on each side of each engine nacelle.

No need for an exhaust the size of the one on a Merlin... The comet relied on extensive streamlining, light weight and detail design to go fast, not on raw horsepower.
I attached a picture of the Comet with the cowl off that shows the exhaust manifold to better advantage. The Comet in the uncowled photo above does not have the exhaust manifold in place.
I have a smaller DH-88 model in the Black Magic markings...flies great!

Speaking of Comets, here is my small sport scale electric DH-88 "Black Magic" in action. Power is a couple of small hot outrunners turning Speed 400 racing props.
Even though it is not scale and it is not really needed, I did opposite rotation electric motors and the lack of any torque/P-factor/spiral propwash at low airspeed during the hand launch is very noticable. It goes dead straight from a gentle launch.
Would love to find a good deal one one of the ASM 84" span DH-88 Comet kits. They have a few issues, with the ABS fuse and problematic paint finish on some of the kits, but still pretty cool.
