Ross Twin 60
Hey Guys
I have aquired a pair of Ross Twin 60 engines. Does anyone out there know anything about these engines? I am guessing that they might be close to 40 years old. One of them looks like it has neveer been run. I would like to know what lind of power they have, and what would be a good airplne to put them in. There were no owners manuals in the boxes, so I am not sure what type of fuel they like and how much nitro to use. I usually run Wild Cat 2-4 blend. It is 15% nitro and 18% oil, I would think it should be OK.If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks eveeryone

RE: Ross Twin 60
I know a little about them, I have 3.
Mine are from middle 1970 and I use 20% castor oil 5-10% nitro.
They have dyke typ of piston ring and needs a lot of run in before the are reliable.
I use 12x5 or 13x4 props.
They are not very strong, I compare them to the old Merco 61 in power
I have some test videos on youtube.

Take care.
