Here's the first flight of the second day. Very un eventfull. Just a few laps. The change in wind direction right at the last second caught me a little off guard, but was still a successful flight.she handled the wind well .

Nice real nice Steve. She seems to fly sweet. Seems to handle gently.
Hope you do not mind me embedding the video?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IeCG-V4TYw&feature=youtu.be I know you have waited a long time for this moment. It is mighty sweet ain't it?

Beautiful Steve, simply beautiful. Even not being totally dialed-in she's a wonder in the air. Nicely done!!

6 10s been there done that. It sucks.
Also 7 12s with 1 day off every other week to meet law requirements.
That was rough.
I have seen a number off 18 hour days, 24, 36, and even a 60 with no sleep. food and drink was brought to me while I continued to work. only left for potty breaks. I ended up hallucinating by the end of it. That is when I was stopped and slept on some blankets and coats right behind the mainframe computers I was working on. So I still was actually unable to leave where I was working. The last was Navy days.
Hang tough dude and be slow and careful working on your bird as tired as you are gonna be. AND FAMILY FIRST!!. A stray hour here or there on the bird so you stay in the game man.

Congrats Steve, it's been a long time coming I know, must be a very good feeling giving all you put in it. Dealing with some small adjustments and you will have alot of joy flying this one.

Another 6 or 7 awesome flights today. One of our clubs gas gurus was there today, and he really helped me get it dialed in nicely. She swings a 21 inch prop now at 8000 RPM. A real screamer. I realized today that this airframe / engine is a perfect match. Enough power to get out of trouble, but not too much. She flies very very scale like in my opinion. I got it trimmed up a bit today too. Not quite great yet, but getting there. I'm getting a lot more comfortable with it now. I've looped it, and done some stall turns and I can say its a wonderful flying airplane. I'm a happy camper.
