Don't feel bad. I have to admit that my building has slowed do to many influences. I am currently "stoking the fire" as you put it by building a small, 40 size plane (Super Sportster) that I am kind of enjoying. I forgot how easily these little ones go together, but I'm kind of getting into it before I tackle a bigger project.....

Oh boy. If there ain't no pics, it never happened, right? Well, I'm looking for the covering iron as we speak so the next pics will be of the variety not previously shown here. Know what I mean? Oh, and to make it even easier to finish the ongoing projects, I just scored a kit that I've always wanted to build. A serious test in will power. Its a Royal C-47.

Staying with my mother. She really needs some one with her full time. Wife and I are really seeing the dementia in her (88). I reckon at this point we will be here till she passes. Then we will get the h*ll back to Texas.
My power tools are here. My building desk and all of my planes and supplies are in storage along with my roll about Kennedy and hand tools. She sort of saw the need for me to have my tools here Friday when the electric gate got bent and failed. Man that was a son of a gun to fix. I had to remove it (foot traffic stopped and helped move it) prop it up then bounce all way to many lbs of me on it to counter bend it. Over bent the top bar but it is OK. Then when I got it back up (again more foot traffic on the front sidewalk) it would not roll. Had to figure that one out (totally shot wheel bushing).
The manager of our storage unit said I could build in our unit. There is no electricity. So we will see.

The wings are covered with exception of the servo plates. Now I guess its time to make the windows. For whatever reason I've been dreading them.which is why there the last item to make. Gotta just do it.

Thanks for the link Bill, but, I'd just assume make them myself. I'm too cheap to pay for them. Lol. So, I got the wind screen template made up, so the hard part is behind me. As for the side windows, I'll make a female mold and a male plug per se, and gravity form them in the crock pot. Only issue is that I wasn't thinking that far ahead when framing so there's slight differences in side to side dimensions. So I don't have to make two or three different plug and mold sets, I'll use 1/32 and 1/16 ply and make them all the same. I haven't yet tried this method, but saw it done and with a pretty detailed tutorial I'm confident that it will turn out great. If not, I'll try another way.

while the windshield is made, there really isnt much to post a pic about yet untill it gets installed. The first go at gravity forming the side windows was a bust, it wasnt a loss. I think i figured out what needs to be done to make it a success. Im attempting try number 2 now. I think it needed more heat, more time, and a duplicate frame for the top to sandwich the window material and hold it tight.I was able to get the shape of the window ok, but the flanges were all wavy. This is where i think the frame will help. hopefully this time will be better. Pics to come.

The second try was much more of a success than the first, but I do believe I can do better. I'm not sure that the wife's crock pot gets hot enough, but she has better kitchen gadgets for me to try. Lol. I'm confident that the next will not only be useable, but pic worthy as well.

Hello guys, Anyone interested in a Mr Mulligan for sale? I have two in various stages. Both the big 104"
1. Recently flown by a fellow club member with a 50 cc gas. It was a Susan B Colman Cure aircraft we completed as a donation project.
engine and electronics all pulled but a giant scale Futaba servo for rudder included. Slight port wheel pant damage. Port side has working door to turn on electronicss. I know, on the wrong side and it bothers me too! I was going to strip covering a and completely sale it out.
2. A framed up kit I purchased 2 years ago. Not quite the same stage as post 765 above, but close. No cowl,on this one.
I'm getting back into my WW-2 airplanes and need to clear my stalled projects. let me know if any interest please .
