Very nice Tom... Great choice of engine. Hope to catch some video of it running someday soon. Have you ran it yet?... I don't know if I caught anything about onboard glow system. We all did chat about exhaust, and I'm betting thats in the engineering dept. already.. but is there some voltage going to the plugs somehow too?

I'll run an onboard glow unit. Most likely, it'll be this one. http://www.sonictronics.com/xcart/pr...cat=308&page=1
I haven'r run the engine. I got it in a trade, and it looks to be new. I've wanted one almost as long as I've been in the hobby. I jumped at this one, as the deal was too good to pass up.

After the Vega episode, you can bet that I'm already thinking about the exhaust system. LOL

This is a Cub, only in disguise. LOL
My first memories of the Pegasus are from the early 90s. The guys from BUSA used to attend my club's flyin. They would bring a BUSA 1/3 Cub powered by the big 4 banger. The engine, and the model, have been on my "Want List" ever since.

Just a guess, here, but it kinda looks like an early Stinson SR Series. The landing gear is wrong, though.

Tom, I just stumbled on this thread today, and I wanted to give you some information on the Luscombe in the first two pictures you posted on 10-22-15 (post #50) NC144BR. That airplane was restored from a near basket case by Bob Reuther in Nashville,TN. Some of you old timers will remember Mr. Reuther as the owner of Hobby World, an early mail order model business. His Luscombe was an aluminum wing version. Bob later sold the airplane, but not before it took top honors in it's class at Sun And Fun (100 HP or less) and first place in it class at Oshkosh (125 HP or less). I spent many hours repairing, and refinishing the wheel pants which were fiberglass, and not the original aluminum. By the way, they were primed with K&B Super Poxy Primer. I also made two fiberglass parts for the airplane. A "dam" that blocked off some of the cowl inlet air due to an over heating problem, and a small fairing for a protrusion on the belly between the landing gear fairings. If you look carefully in the first picture it is visible. The significance of the N Number came from Bob's stock car racing career. Bob actually had the poll at the last race on the beach at Daytona. I flew with Bob in it a couple of times. Interestingly, the closest call I ever had flying was with Bob when we got into a spin in IFR conditions due to a faulty artificial horizon. That was in his RV7. We pulled 5 G's, but that's a story for another time. Bob was a WWII Naval veteran, and died at the age of 80 about 8 years ago. Thanks for posting the pictures. Greg
